These three psalms look at how God is all time, present, and future. Psalm 76 celebrates God’s victory over enemies and His protection for the people. Psalm 77 shows a person’s deep sadness, but also their memory of God’s promises. Psalm 78 tells the story of Israel from the Exodus to the present, reminding listeners that God has always been with them. Together they teach that God is always there to help, that we should remember His past deeds, and that we can trust Him to protect us now and in the future. They also remind us that the people need to honour God and not forget Him.
